Denoise based on luminance?


You may get some kind of color shift if you over denoise all the channels with certain color spaces.


I agree with Omar. The way that denoising works is to blend pixels where the system thinks there is noise. If you use (for instance) LAB colour and start mucking around with the A and B channels, it’s anyone’s guess what will happen when converting back to RGB (for display) because the A and B axes don’t represent colour in the same way.
