I wasn't sure IF this is the Correct Place To post this but the Hell.
So here is the basic summery of Comp in the Big 8.
There Is a general frustration with nuke as its not delivering to current day composting need on Such Films as Jungle Book, Star Trek, Batman Super man................. the only 2 Alternatives to nuke are Natron and Fusion.
What Interesting that Fusion is not the first choice but its dose not offer a significant benefit to make such a huge shift but Natron is been Looked at very carefully to see what happens and still hoping that Nuke with eventually pull through.
Well its coming along quite fast in its development and it core function are starting out perfumer nuke and the Open Source Nature of it allows room for pipeline integration and missing feature can be overcome with RND or the Community will evenly pull through (in hoping that it could potentially smiler to OpenVDB and ABC)
So whats Missing?
the Big 4 tick items are that a general consonances 3D, Bucket rendering, Progressive Rendering and GPU.
So here is where i wonder, wouldn't Natron being open source take advantige of Blender?
why not bring dose parts of Blender in to it?
this could help to push Natron to the next leave to not only be a compositing application but also become a Ldev and rendering Solution AKA katana (sonys Katana with the full compositing fetuers)
