Windows release 2.2.7
Switching layer visibility off, makes stroke attributes to be superseded, in practice destroying rotopaint work.
Also applies to cloning, in this case even clone shifts are superseded .
good catch!please report an issue on the github, it's easier for us to follow than the forum.thanks
Is this still an issues in 2.2.8? I'm getting some strange behavior. I try to clone, but the entire viewport goes black as soon as I start painting. Nothing changes it until I delete all the strokes.
Can you describe steps to reproduce ? Is your input RGB or RGBA?
There is a kind of workaround when this happens to me:before any cloning stroke, make a brush stroke, then hide the stroke.from then on, cloning seems to work ok.
Otherwise, 2.2.7 seems free of this issue.
Paint works great in 2.2.7, it's only in 2.2.8. I made a short video.https://www.dropbox.com/s/uujob7qogdsefsa/natron_paint_bug.mp4
Hmmm, posting the video didn't work, maybe this will
I reproduced the bug in 2.2.8. It has however been fixed on the 2.2 development branch so you can expect a fix in the upcoming version.
That's great news, thanks!
