Although I will be the first to admit that this interview has nothing to do directly with Natron, it does--in my opinion--have everything to do with the proliferation of open-source software in VFX and related fields like 3D. Again, IMHO, Blender is Natron's "other half". I offer the following interview as inspiration and nothing more. That which stands out to me and is the part of the interview truly worth reading is where Williamson is asked about his personal recommendation, one could very easily substitute every mention of Blender with Natron (and every mention of "3D" with "compositing") in those following paragraphs and the statements still hold up admirably.
There are a few statements in the interview to promote CGcookie.com. In the spirit of this forum, I would--unless you genuinely have an interest in learning Blender--ignore them. As stated before, I see Blender and Natron as being two sides of the same coin. Please enjoy.
