Changing Bit Depth

#1

Hello all - new Natron user here.

Sorry if this is an obvious question but I’m wondering how you’d go about changing the bit depth within Natron. Specifically I’d like to take a source image and reduce it to any number of bits >= 1. A search in the docs pointed to the shuffle node but I didn’t see how to use that to actually do what I’m asking.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Hi bitfilms,

if you want to reduce the number of bits, aka the number of color values of your image (1 bit = colors, 2 bits = 4 colors, etc…, you have to use the Color/Quantize node.
